News UK’s TalkTV is to launch on 25 April with a schedule featuring shows hosted by Piers Morgan and Sharon Osbourne.
Piers Morgan Uncensored, a new global show fronted by the former Good Morning Britain presenter, will go to air on 25 April. The 60-minute show will be broadcast on weeknights in the UK on TalkTV, streamed on Fox Nation in the US and aired in Australia on Sky News Australia.
Morgan said: “I’m delighted to now be returning to live television with a new daily show whose main purpose is to cancel the cancel culture which has infected societies around the world. I want it to be a platform for lively vigorous debate, news-making interviews, and that increasingly taboo three-letter word: fun. I also want it to annoy all the right people.”
TalkTV will broadcast from studio facilities in Ealing and at News UK’s News Building headquarters in London Bridge.
Scott Taunton, EVP, President of Broadcasting, News UK, said: “TalkTV will be a new voice for viewers who are interested in straight talking opinions and expert insight on news and current affairs.”
The primetime launch schedule will also see the debut of The Talk with Sharon Osbourne. Airing weeknights, the panel debate will bring together five opinionated famous faces – all from different backgrounds and with differing views – to debate the most interesting stories of the day.
Meanwhile political journalist Tom Newton Dunn will present a weeknight news and current affairs programme.
TalkTV will launch on linear TV platforms Sky, Virgin Media, Freeview and Freesat. It will also be streamed via Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV, Samsung TV Plus and on YouTube, as well as via the Talk.TV website and TalkTV iOS and Android apps. It will also be available via Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat and Twitter.
