Richard Friedel is the Executive Vice President of Engineering, Operations & Technology for Fox Television Stations oversight of Fox’s 28 local stations throughout the US including their rollout of ATSC 3.0. Previously, Mr. Friedel led Fox Network Engineering & Operations with responsibility for Fox’s, national and regional television businesses. Mr. Friedel was also a member of the team that launched Fox News Channel. He is a fellow of the Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers and a life member of the Institute of Electrical & Electronic Engineers. Mr. Friedel serves as President of the Video Services Forum, President of the North American Broadcasters Association and is the former Chairman of the Advanced Television Systems Committee. He was awarded a lifetime achievement Emmy by the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences in 2018.
