Antony Joyce, Head of Architecture and Technology Platforms, UKTV
Antony has extensive industry experience in technology architecture, product development and technology strategy. At UKTV, as Head of Architecture and Technology Platforms he has focused on modernising the media supply chain. Building a development capability to deliver a cloud native, server-less media processing capability, that comprises the heart of UKTV’s media operations.
Antony started out working hands-on delivering IT managed service, focused predominantly on M&E organisations. Over the last fifteen years in a variety of architecture roles, Antony has travelled the world delivering OTT platforms. Working onsite to launch services in Europe, the Middle East and the USA. While at Nokia, Antony as principal architect headed up the multi-nation architecture team. Later as Director of CloudDRV Product Antony led the product organisation delivering Nokia’s CloudDVR product suite. Antony has a proven track record delivering systems at scale for some of the world’s largest Telco, Media brands and platform operators.
Julián Fernández-Campón, CTO, Tedial
Julián is recognised throughout the industry as a thought leader who has leveraged his technical proficiency and extraordinary grasp of broadcast infrastructures to develop cutting-edge solutions that deliver financial and operational benefits. He is also an accomplished lecturer who has been recruited by numerous industry organisations, including IABM, SMPTE, HPA and NAB, to share his expertise regarding IMF, maximising MAMs, and MAMs in the Cloud at technical forums.
He has been with Tedial for 20 years, where his contributions have had a major impact on all aspects of the company’s products, solutions design, platform architecture and services. He’s been key in leading the transition in recent years to meet the new challenges in the market, with the adoption of the latest technologies in Tedial’s portfolio and the company’s transformation to DevOps. His strong background in Computer Science and his master’s degree in Telecommunications and Robotics serve as the foundation for his continuously expanding knowledge base and expertise in new technologies.
Jan-Hendrik Hein, VP of Media Operations at A+E Networks UK
Jan-Hendrik is responsible for the content supply chain for all content published across EMEA on 22 linear feeds and over 60 digital platforms in 21 languages for the History and Crime+Investigation brands. Jan-Hendrik has been with A+E since 2015 after over 10 years at Viacom. He is currently leading a content supply chain transformation project that is due to deliver in Q1 2023.
Noemí Pérez Villanueva, Product manager, Telefónica Servicios Audiovisuales
Noemí is an information technology engineer with extensive experience in audiovisual and broadcasting solutions and services. Over 17 years at Telefónica Servicios Audiovisuales, she has built a comprehensive knowledge of media workflows and processes, across consultancy, solutions design, field engineering and project management.
More recently in charge of the technical and economic proposals within the LATAM office, Noemí has focused on both internal Telefonica Group companies and external TV networks and Audiovisual and M&E companies located in Spain, Europe and LATAM market, mainly in Brazil, Mexico and Peru.
Now as product and communication manager, Noemi monitors market trends, latest technologies and vendor solutions such as video broadcast IP, hybrid environments, cloud services, hyperconvergence, virtual studios and VR, automatic production systems and OTT, etc. to ensure the best product approach.
Emili Planas Quintana, CTO and Operations Manager, Mediapro
Emili has been a member of the Mediapro Consultant team for operations and technical resources optimisation since 2000. In 2004, he launched laSexta, a playout center in Barcelona for live sports channels, and started as the operations manager of LaLiga TV productions in 2008.
Since 2007, Quintana has worked in new projects and applied technologies, remote production, and R&D implementation in daily operations. He has also acted as a consultant for the ESPN Production Center in Buenos Aires, Imagina US in Miami, and is an operations optimization adviser for international projects.
